Bottle picked up from Äpfel Getrankemarkt Moosburg and consumed at home Friday 26th December 2025 after an 11km Loop hike today from Zwiedlerwaldhaus to Großer Falkenstein, we had Kacchi Lamb Biryani from the Curry Guy book and Onion Bhajis and Poppadoms, listening to Geese - Getting Killed. I simply cannot believe that I had the correct glass but had yet to rate this beer, super weird. Pours gold with a light chill haze, mid sized white head. Taste is simple, there's a light hoppiness, initially light sweetness but then a tad dry. It's simple but fine, I don't mind Kölsch and Altbiers but I'm so glad we live in Bayern. Score 6.1

Sehr helle Farbe. Leichte Trübung. Hopfiger Geruch, mit Spuren von Honig und Getreide. Geschmacklich fallen vor allem florale Noten auf. Schöne Hopfennote, aber nicht zu bitter. Die Getreidenoten kommen etwas leer und spelzig rüber. Ich habe jetzt so um die 8 verschiedene Kölsch verkostet. Das Heller rangiert für mich ganz klar im unteren Viertel. Es ist trotzdem gut trinkbar.

330ml bottle picked up in Cologne, as I wasn’t going to see this one on tap. Tad darker than some. Lemon pith and soft peppery herb. Fairly dry and a bit dusty. Pretty cleansing on the palate. Light bitterness.

Słodowe, coś kwaśnego w aromacie takiego nieprzyjemnego, delikatnie mineralne, ziołowe. Barwa złota, piana szybko znika do krążka, brak lacingu. Goryczka zaznaczona, ziołowa. Mocno gazowane, wytrawne, trochę za mało kölscha a więcej hellesa.

Bottle with swingtop 0,5ltr: Clear golden colored brew with an nicely sweet bitter taste, fruity hints and nicely malty.

Draught @ Brewpub. Pours cloudy yellow with a White head. Slight fruit and grainy malts. Not entirely fresh. Grainy and with a bit of dust.

On tap at Hellers, pours a clear pale golden with a medium white head. Aroma is very gentle, with grains and straw. Flavour is much the same, with dry grains and straw. Lower bitterness even for the style. It's fine.

Bottle. Clear gold featuring a solid white head. Aroma of grains, apples, lemons and basement. Taste of straw, grains, apples and lemons. Fruity finish. Low bitterness. Medium carbonation. Alright. A tad more grainy and bitter than most Kölschs I know.
