Coconut Kong is our Russian Imperial Stout brewed with copious amounts of shredded natural coconut. Aged for a year in Caribbean Rum barrels.

Pours black with a small tan head. The coconut is very prominent in the aroma with some roast malt under it. Coconut is also quite assertive in the flavor. There's no question about it being a coconut stout, which I think is a good thing. It's also sweet with chocolate and roast malt. The rum is more subtle. It's in there, but not as strong as I'd expect the liquor flavors to be after a year in the barrel. It doesn't taste at all like the listed 70 ibus, but there's obviously a big grain bill in this beer and I wonder if the 70 is for the un-aged version. Anyway, this is excellent.
