0.33l bottle from #017. This one pours a bready smelling blurry dark amber brown colored body with a medium sized fading and lacing beige head on the top. Lots of bread and rye on the nose. Vegetal, rusty and almost earthy. Not mine kind of aroma this. Tastes a little metallic and nutty. Really thin and somewhat watery on the mouthfeel and it's mildly carbonated. A nice sweetness in the taste also. Caramel and nutty butter. Earth and some dusty peas. Tastes alright, nothing off or anything, but I just find it dull. Especially when it's as thin and watery on the mouthfeel as this is. 04.05.2016

Bottle. It’s a hazy chestnut colored beer with a finger-thick beige head leaving some curtains. The aroma is on the malty side with bread, nuts and toffee and some cellar notes. A whiff of grass is all there is of hoppy scents. It’s medium bodied and nicely carbonated, although perhaps a bit much of it. The flavor is a bit more fruity, but still much dominated by the bready, toffee-ish malts, with some dried fruits and nuts in the back. Rather dry, and nicely balanced by the hops. 35 IBU according to the label, shouldn’t believe that, except for maybe in the finish where the bitterness is evident. There’s also a light metallic touch in the finish, else it’s sure a fine Altbier. 160703

Flaske 330ml fra Kjeller 5. Mørk brun. Mye luftbobler på glasset. Høyt luftig skum med litt farge. Daler sakte. Litt beskjeden maltaroma. Smaken balansert. Klart maltpreg med innslag av syrlig krydder. Lett tørr & bitter avslutning som gir mersmak. Karamell langt uti ettersmaken. Bra øl! Ville nok fungere fint til det meste av mat.

330ml bottle, nr.009, trade with Finn. Good looking revealing a dense, two-finger thick beige head with a solid stand. Clingy lacing. Deep rosewood coloured body. Roasted earthy malts on the nose. The taste profile follows suit with roasted mats, dark caramel and nuts. Malt bitter ending, semi-dry. Well bodied. Clean and smooth on the swallow. Enjoying (Tromsø 19.12.2015).
