Can from Sainsbury's, Wycombe. Dark brown with a large, lasting beige head. In-your-face smell of blueberry and blackberry jam is over the top. The jam is thankfully a little more restrained on tasting; there's lots of chocolate syrup set against some rather tasty brown toast. Not much sign of the peanut butter other then in the mouthfeel. Sweet and sticky finish. Bit too sweet and artificial for me I'm afraid.

Can at home picked up from SAinsbury's. A opaque dark brown coloured pour with a lasting loose magnolia head. Aroma is medium sweet, chocolate syrup, jammy fruit, adjunct, hazelnut, toasted nuts. Flavour is composed of medium sweet, brown sugars, chocolate syrup, jammy strawberry, bitter toasted nuts, hazelnut, adjunct heavy, but not entirely unpleasant. Palate is medium sweet, oily, mellow carbonation. Decent enough for a supermarche beer.

Keg at Brewdog Clerkenwell, 07/03/2025.
Black with a tan cap that clears to the edge.
Nose carries a good peanut butter twang, chocolate, dark malts.
Taste comprises chocolate, peanut butter, light roast, dried red berries.
Medium plus bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a modest boost offered.
Not bad for a supermarket beer I guess ... surprised how low the UT score is ... a touch 1D.

Can from Tesco and drunk at home. Very dark brown, black beer. Lasting tan head. Peanut aroma, raspberry jam aroma , some chocolate on aroma. It's got some the peanut, red jam flavours. light paper character, light charcoal, Not a great stout with some light artificial flavours over it. Does it work? No not really. It's just a bit odd. Not sure the stout part works and not sure the additional flavours are strong enough. Hmmm. Bit of alcohol sting on the finish. Not sure what to give this.

440ml can. Poured almost black in colour with a lasting frothy, light tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, nutty. The flavour is moderate liquorice bitter, light sweet, with a smooth, roasty, earthy, herbal, light peanut butter, light fake sugar, liquorice bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Great can. Shame I couldn’t say the same for the beer. It’s a bit of a mess in my humble opinion.

Can from Sainsbury's Supermarket, Salford. Black, dense, although not quite like oil when it pours but getting there - with a light-brown head. The jam is a good foil for the peanut butter here, so that is not too strong, and the stout itself is sweet tasting. Peanut butter does dominate the aroma.
