Cask at the Queens Head, Stourbridge. Pours very dark brown with a small head. Aroma is dry fruity malt with a little roast. Taste has dry fruity malt with a touch of coffee.

Cask at Crewe Dog, Crewe. Pours a dark (almost very dark) reddish-brown with minimal tan head and good lacing. Roast malts in the aroma – but not to any great extent. In the mouth it is slightly sweet with roasted malts, oats, cola and hints of nuts. Some traces of liquorice and coffee come through later as well. Finish is slightly bitter. This is quite decent.
