Bottle. It pours a very dark brown, close to black body under a small, beige head. The aroma is roasted, with some licorice, molasses and coffee. It’s full-bodied and rather dry on the palate, perhaps a bit heavy on the carbonation. Roasted malts, some caramel notes, molasses, coffee and licorice in the flavor. Some bitterness too, but it’s mostly on the sweet side. Long roasted finish with licorice and molasses. Not much trace of the juniper berries, but there’s some on the nose. Overall, sure a decent stout. I wouldn’t mind a bit more complexity, but it’s a fine brew anyway. Easy drinkable too. 160423

Bottle, 6.0%. Salty, roasted and slightly smokey aroma. Black colour. Small stable light brown head. The flavour is salty, roasted, slightly citric, creamy, smokey. Light to medium mouthfeel, but actually nicely silky. (2016)
Bottle, 6.0%. Fruity aroma, sweet liquorice. Black colour, seems unclear. Small frothy light brown head. The flavour is quite sweet. Mild cappucino. A little fruit and metal in the finish. Hvidtøl aftertaste, but obviously less sweet. 737315 (2025)
