Many thanks for this beer to Erzengel. A cloudy yellow amber beer with good head. Aroma is properly malted, good body and fruity notes such as clove.

Vielen Dank an Erzengel! Sehr trübe dunkel goldene Farbe, geringe gelbliche Schaumkrone. Geruch bananig, hefig, typischer Weizengeruch. Geschmack hefig fruchtig, phenolisch, leicht würzig, gut trinkbar.

1l swing-top bottle from the brewery. The beer is yeasty-fruity in the nose, slightly sweet. The beer starts smooth and fresh. Malty, hints of clove. Yeasty-dry with a quite dry finish. Nice yeast aroma, grain and malt. Nearly no bitterness, not really sweet. The beer is a bit dusty, grainy-fresh, clove. Interesting.

1000ml bottle. Cloudy golden colour with average, frothy, white head. Wheaty aroma with hints of banana, green apple, clove, cautious herbal hoppy overtones, devoid of yeast spiciness, almost like a Kristallweizen. Taste is moderately sweet wheaty, notes of banana, dried banana, a dry, strawy/grainy/bready touch. Very restricted, neither much hop nor yeast flavours, close to a Kristallweizen. If this variation led to something new, it would be appreciated; but we’ve got something that already exists.

(swing top bottle, 100cl, 5.2% abv) Hazy, deep golden colour with a big and off-white foamy head. Slightly milky malty aroma with notes of wheat, a rather restrained fruity touch and distinctively herbal spicy accents. Mildly sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Slightly wheaty, cara-malty taste with slightly fruity notes and a herbal hoppy touch from behind; quite dry, slightly sweet and mildly hop bitter finish with herbal notes and a shy fruity touch. Not a usual Hefeweizen; an interesting interpretation of the style. 25.III.14

12/11/12/11//11

Poured up on tap at Thombansen’s pub in a 50cl glass. It has a nearly totally opaque copper body with solid 3cm tan head leaving behind some nice lacing. The moderate aroma offers smooth subtle banana, some wheat, faint minerals and a touch of vague fruity esters. The taste is similar as it is smooth and fairly subtle with soft wheat and subtly sweet banana mingling with faint grainy malts and a mineral sense. The banana and wheat maintain right into the after taste.
