25/4/2018. Cask at Lady Grey's, Newcastle. Pours almost black with a tan coloured head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, liquorice, roasted malt, nut, lactose, raspberry and black cherry. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium to full bodied, slick texture, very soft carbonation. Very good.

Draft at Bierrex. Jet black color, beige head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, edge of smoke. Taste is burnt espresso and cocoa. Tasty.

Cask (gravity) @ NWAF 2016, National Winter Ales Festival (2016), The Roundhouse, Pride Park, Derby, Derbyshire, England, DE24 8JE. [ As Out There Angara ].Clear dark brown color with virtually no head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, flowers - perfume, sweet licorice notes. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, roasted, ash, dark malt, sweet malt, chocolate malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20160217]
