Bottle thanks to Fergus. It pours deep mahogany brown with a decent beige head. The nose is rich roast, earth, coffee, cocoa, dirt and tar. The taste is bitter, hard roast, earth, lemon rind, cocoa, light soap and pine with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Decent.

Bottle share for Colin’s 40th. From pivo galleria Prague. Caramel brown colour with a loose cream head. Nutty earthy hazelnut, some grassy notes. Flavour is nutty, Roasty toast and earthy pine. Palate is medium body, highish carbonation and clean. Decent beer.

(Draught at Prague Beer Museum, Prague, 19 July 2014) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of black rye bread, coffee, chocolate and pine needles. Malty, roasted taste with chocolate, caramel, black coffee, pine needles, hints of mint and a generous piney bitterness in a finish with a certain sweetness. Medium body. Tasty and well made. Nice one.
