(Sample from a bottle at RBESG 2017 Grand Tasting) The beer poured reddish brown and nearly clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had malts, alcohol and caramel. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, strawberries, sweetness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter. A bit unclean brew.

Bottle, 6.5%. Mild vinous aroma. Almost clear dark brown colour. Very small head. The flavour is dusty and vinous. Quite malty and very slightly sweet. Not sugary, but has a syrupy, nutty finish.

Bottle at Señor MiP’s, 8 months past the BBD. clear lightish copper brown with airy off-white head. Dusty aroma with notes of caramel malt and touches of yeast and hops. Sweetish flavour of caramel malt, complemented by bitter, hoppy notes and nutty and dusty touches. Lingering, dusty and estery aftertaste. Good. Oldie but goldie.
