Bottled. An amber beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and a bit of straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, flowers, and straw, leading to a bitter finish.

500ml bottle. Clear, reddish, amber colour with average to huge, firm, frothy to creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, white head. Slightly zesty, minimally waxy, hoppy aroma, hints of orange zest, underlying unspecific fruitiness, malty background with hints of caramel and a touch of peanut. Taste is minimally sweet, toasty and caramel malty, slightly bitter and citrusy hoppy overtones, hints of mandarine and orange zest, a cautious peppery touch. Lacks some intensity.

Bottle at my parents house from Callans, Dundalk, 28/06/15. Very lightly hazed Amber orange with a decent light beige covering that retains well. Nose is earthy hop, biscuit, caramel, light fruit, faint spice. Taste comprises biscuit malt, light spice, caramel, fruit rinds, toasted bread, bitter orange. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close peppered with earthy hop bitterness. Decent lightly hopped Amber, good session juice. Brewer describes as a pale ale but in RB parlance this one sits more comfortably in the Amber camp for me.
