Poured up on tap at the brewpub where it exhibits a deep dark amber to ruby red body that supports a white head that has a pinkish hue. The aroma offers up berry like tartness, a bit of oak and then more berry into the end of the draw. The taste delivers a quick pulse of berry tartness and then growing berry fruitiness. Behind those notes are light spicy oak and faint yeastiness. Solid refreshing brew that isn’t deep and rich but nimble.

On tap at the Modern Times Festival of Funk. It pours a hazy purple color with an off white head. The aroma has some great big, sweet cherry/raspberry notes. The flavor is full with sweet tarts and raspberry jam. Light to medium tartness. Lots of fruity sweetness, and not a lot of funk. It was ok by me because the raspberry character was out of this world. A really fun beer.
