On tap at the brewery. The server told me the head brewer here used to work at Ballast Point and was responsible for the original recipe for Grapefruit Sculpin before they went to extract. Don’t know if that’s true, but I can believe it. It pours a very clear light gold color with a creamy white head. The aroma has potent fresh grapefruit zest and juice. Very fresh and natural. The flavor is the same. Massive grapefruit juice and zest. Clean with a light background maltiness and restrained bitterness that also comes across as zesty. Very light floral character as well. Superb. Try this next to a Grapefruit Sculpin and you’ll be able to tell the difference between fresh fruit and extract.
