On tap at the Torpedo Room. It pours dark brown with a lasting tan head. The aroma has dirty tobacco and roasted malt up front with some beefy slightly burnt pumpernickel toast, and hints of dark chocolate. The flavor is more coffee forward with lots of fresh roasted nutty beans and dark chocolate. Medium carbonation and a very creamy, smooth mouthfeel. Medium sweetness, but lower than expected for a sweet stout with lactose. Nice roasted bite in the finish. Very pleasant stuff. The lactose shows itself more in the smooth mouthfeel than overt sweetness.
