The beer is coffee black in color. Dark brown edging into black. Small light beige head. Some lacing. Wonderful aroma full of coffee fruitiness, chocolate and a light roast touch. They really nailed the coffee on this one. Dark chocolate with coffee-ish berries and lemon flavors. The taste has a big chocolate porter base to it. Lots more coffee flavor. Mostly delivers on the aroma, just a touched washed out at the end. Light, fruity roast. Mildly sweet. Mild caramel. A little bit of chalkiness. Touch of bitterness in the finish. Chocolate covered coffee beans. Very tasty stuff. Improves as it warms. Light mouthfeel, maybe could use a little heft. Still very good and easy to drink.

On tap at the brewery. Mahogany brown. Hazelnut coloured pour with a fleeting greyish light tan head. Aroma is robust woody earthy coffee, raw coffee bean, cold press coffee. Light berry fruits on the nose as well. Flavour is composed of coffee bean, smooth roasted coffee, Berry, nutty. Hint of smoky earth in the finish. Really good coffee character. Palate is semi sweet, medium light bodied, earthy, moderate carbonation. Good beer.

On tap at Cellarmaker. It pours black with a khaki head. The aroma is extremely smoky and chocolatey with some nutty coffee. The flavor is the same. Super smoky, lightly sweet vanilla and cocoa notes. Good level of toast/roast. Fairly light bodied, but oily on the palate. Super awesome coffee beer.
