This here IPA is hopped with Mosaic and South African Southern Passion. Southern Passion is a hop we’ve been lucky to work with. It is distinctly different from American grown hops, resembling hops from New Zealand. Bringing hints of coconut, lime and mango, Southern Passion plays well with Mosaic’s melon, guava, pine and blueberry.

On draft at the brewery. It pours a clear light gold color with a white head. The aroma is earthy and tropical. Equal parts. Nice grass and coconut notes as well. The flavor has more of the same with tropical fruit, grass and mild hints of coconut. Clean bitterness. I really love the Southern Passion hops. Count me as a fan.

The beer is a bright, light amber gold. Looks pretty clear. Solid white head. Very beery looking. The aroma has a ton of sweet fruity hops. Strawberry, melon, blackberry, papaya, kiwi, a little tangerine, big mango. Great aroma. Very mild malt character. Mild to moderate bitterness. Just hop flavor. Tons of mango and melon and kiwi. Very smooth and easy to drink. Lots of hop oiliness. Letting it warm up a bit helps really bring out those interesting hop flavors.
