bottle so beautifully golden it makes me think they probably cheated , smooth offwhite head. Looks marvelous. crystal clear. quite malty and slightly light roasted malty aroma, rounded by an almost anonymous but pretty nice bittering. bittering has a little bit of wood spices, but faint. flavor is roasted malty with ligther faint fruity notes, ending very slighlty caramelly sweet, but also wood-spicy bitter. pretty well done classic, with subtle flavor hints that it might've been brewed in a smallish batch, not industrial at all. Not always a fan of braunstein beer, they seem to have been all over the place earlier, but this one is a really nice classic style lager, tasty and with character.

Bottled. A hazy dark golden beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of malt, bread, caramel, and a bit of metal. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, bread, and metal, leading to a bitter finish.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a hazy golden with a smallish, off-white head. Dusty nose, cabbage. Medium body, somewhat malty, but lacking the biscuit and caramel of a proper Classic. Somewhat hoppy finish. My respect for Braunstein has been rising recently, but this Landmad series is simply poorly craafted - surprisingly so. 150121
