Rated Aug. 2008. Courtesy of Degarth. Pours deep clear garnet with thin mocha head. The aroma is pungent with bold dark fruity esters, some chemical alcohol notes, licorice and musty dewy fruitiness. The taste is as bold and sweet as the aroma with dark sugar coated fruitiness then becoming somewhat like red wine and tannin dryness. I also get a sugar porridge type sensation that’s mild and muted. Body seems really thin considering the level of sweetness in this beer.
