Fleur-de-lis Restoration Ale is made with English Pale, Lager, Crystal and Cara Pils malted barley. We liberally hopped and dry hopped our Ale with American Cascade and Centennial hops and fermented it with California Ale yeast. The result is a brilliant gold ale with a rich body, mild bitterness and a snappy fresh citrus hop flavor and aroma.

Bottled@The 1st Vaasa CS/ES beer session (thanks ER!). Yellowish golden colour with mediumsized creamy white head. Aroma is strong fruity and floral hops along with mild caramel malts as well. Flavour is fruity, grassy, floral and slightly bready malts. Pleasant, but nothing extraordinary.

Bottle opened just as the Saints pull ahead in Superbowl XLIV. Pours a clear overly carbonated gold with a fizzy head. Aromas of dough and honey. Flavor is grainy with a bit of grass and a little bit of a sour old beer taste.

pours golden, white head. Aroma of floral hops, pale malts, light yeasty presence, grainy and caramel. Taste of light malts, light notes of caramel, floral hops with some citrus notes, light biter finish. Still waiting to see anything groundbreaking coming from this brewery.

12 ounce bottle from Wine Warehouse in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a golden amber color with a large head. Good head retention and fair lacing. Aroma of sweet malts and muted hops. Taste is leafy hops and sweet sugary malts. Not much going on here. Medium bodied.

Nice pale copper coloured body with a light amber tint and a thin fast-dying white head. Aroma of fresh hops, nice malt and a mellow sweetness. Medium-bodied; Strong taste of fresher hops up front fading to a more strong malt taste and ending a bit stale with cardboard flavours most noticeable. Aftertaste shows the malt and a bit of metallic tastes throughout, not the most pleasing. Overall, a better beer than most considering the producer and a good cause for the beer - however, they could have made a lot more money with this beer if it were any good. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in Chantilly, Virginia by my brother-in-law on 25-December-2005.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. The aroma is hoppy with citrus. The taste is very bitter with citrus and pine and a smooth finish. Easy to drink a good pale ale from Abita.

Hazy dull straw. Woody, slightly lemony hop nose with light pale malts. Some wood and tropical fruit taste. Fairly low bitterness. A bit watery in the finish, and despite some nice hop notes the malts never amount to much.

What a strange name. Note to self: ’Need to find out more about this name.’ Pop the lid and rotten lemony aroma. Appearance of slightly hazy pale yellow American lager. Easy to drink, tho it does posses a few of the attributes of an ale. Rather friendly and pale lager like. Enjoyable with a touch of wet straw.

Re-rate 10/7/12: Bottle. Beer of the month club. Clear deep golden with a medium white head. Pleasant floral and citric hops aroma with a bit of bready and slightly biscuity malt. Flavor has light malt sweetness and crisp floral/citric hops bitterness. Light-medium-bodied. A nice one. It seems I like it better than I did 5 years ago. 7/3/7/3/14=3.4

Bottle sample at a tasting. Hazy golden color with a white head. Aroma of floral hops, a bit of malt and a bit of citrus. Flavor of sweet malt, a bit fruity, with a mild and quite weak dry finish with hops and a bit of citrus. Body is too light. Rather boring. 6/3/5/2/11=2.7
