Cask at GBBF’17, day one, 08/08/17. Lightly hazed chestnut brown with a decent beige cap. Nose is biscuit, hint of toffee, light spice, fruit rinds. Taste comprises earthy fruits, twiggy notes, biscuit, spice, brown bread. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Average bitter ... looks and feels good but lacks a little at the business end.

Cask at the Great British Beer Festival 2017. Pours clear copper colour with a large frothy off-white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, hop, and light toasting. Medium plus sweetness and light bitterness. Light to medium body, slight oily and watery texture, soft carbonation.

Cask at Milton Keynes Beer Festival; clear amber pour with a bubbly white head, aroma has sweet malts, taste has light fruits, bitter action, some wood.

Cask (gravity) @ NWAF 2016, National Winter Ales Festival (2016), The Roundhouse, Pride Park, Derby, Derbyshire, England, DE24 8JE. [ As ornes Dark Fox Bitter ].Clear medium to dark brown amber color with a average, frothy - fizzy and open, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, toasted, dark malt, sweet malt, light roasted - wood - pine. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, dark malt, sweet malt, fruity, roasted - wood notes. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat.
