Bottle from Buckingham Garden Centre. Pours deep brown with a beige foam. Super malty, kind of a burnt malt character, toffee, moderate bitterness. Astringent finish. Wasn't too keen.

Cask at the Nottingham Beer Festival 2021. Deep chestnut brown colour with an off white head. Dark and malty aroma with a light bitter finish. I’d have said a mild, but for the bitter finish.

Cask @ Wetherspoons, Milton Keynes. Dark clear copper with a glow and a bubbly head. It's a deeper gritty-malty ale but with a good taste to it, edging towards chocolate. Has a sweetish nose and an easy drinking texture.
