Beautifully colored Amber Ale greets you with an aroma of fruit and biscuits. With your first sip you’ll notice the amount of roasted malts and honey malts that went into making this beer. The finish is pleasantly sweet.

I thought this 16 oz pounder can was the same as the gnome, but I guess its not, it has a lighter ABV about it. First taste is sweet and somewhat cloying. Aroma of a vienna lager. Pretty good co2 but that sweetness on the palate keeps sticking its little head up like the whack a mole game. Yes, some weird sharper bitter feeling begins to hang around, almost astringent at times. Difficult and almost medicinal in flavor near the middle. Different, but it needs a little civilized lesson in manners. This can't be in the same style as Frankenmuth Old Detroit Amber Ale, North Peak Siren Amber Ale, Atlanta Laughing Skull Amber Ale or even Petrucci Brothers Amberlynn. Those guys are well behaved compared to this rough riding beer. A little disappointing in the end.
