OK, had this a cobblehaus. Its very clear to the eye., barely a tint of yellow. Smell is certainly green candy apple. A little watery up front. But, apple does carry into the taste. Green that is. A little lighter, like its watered down a little, but you expect that with some domestic brands, you know, cost and such. Good stuff, but it could have been a little more dense in the end. Sampled at Pipers this mead poured a bright yellow color with a small foamy white head that faded quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was musty and sweetish with a bubblegum and an odd herbal/perfumey note. The flavor was sweetish and yeasty with notes of apple, bubblegum and again the odd perfumey presence - almost chamomile. Medium length finish. Medium body. Alcohol well controlled. Disappointing.
