Odd beast. On tap at the Barrel House. Pours a yellow color with a small white head. A big fruity vinous nose. Excellent flavor with huge soft grape notes, woody, sour lacto, but very smooth. The overall flavor is tart sweet grapes, oak. Excellent.

Pours an orange gold, not too bright, small white fizzy head, poor retention. Lots of sweet fruity wine barrel in the aroma, white grape juice, moderate funk, mild lactic note. Mild pucker, sweet and sour, the oak dries things out a bit, wood and lactic sour in the finish. Light feel, a bit fizzy.

From the barrel at Cascade, Portland - 07/11/12. Hazed mid golden with a very thin white head that soon clears to the edges. Nose comprises burnt piss, herbal tones, tarte lemon notes. Taste follows nose, a little wood, bitter citrus, burnt orange and pineapple. Fullish in body with soft carbonation lending towards a tarte mouth puckering finish. Decent.

On tap at Cascade Brewing, pours a cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma of red wine barrels, pears and sour fruits. Flavour is sweet and sour, with some sweetened red wine notes, apple cider and lightly soured pears. Tastes like a lightly soured cider. Very good stuff.
