A rich, decadent floral hoppiness combines with a hardy malt spine. Bud Juju is a kick in the teeth with hops.
Astoria once had an Ultimate Frisbee team that refused to be beaten. Their bold strategy and determination allowed them to lay waste to other coastal teams including the Manzanita Sand Fleas. This IPA was created to fuel the ultimate team to victory. Heavily hopped with Centennial and Summit hops, this beer has enough bitterness to grant its drinker a second wind and get them back in the game. The Bad Juju has a smooth caramel body that titillates the senses and fills the mind with thoughts of glory. Its daring attitude and hop presence pushes the border of sharpness without being too overpowering. Far from the benevolence of a traditional IPA, this Juju you do not want to mess with.

On tap at Saraveza's IIPA Fest, pours a cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma of maple syrupy sweetness, some tropical fruits and moderate (for the style) resinous hops. Flavour is sickly sweet for a IIPA, with caramel-like syrupy sweetness, some peach-like tropical fruits, some citrusy hops, but the sweetness dominates. Pretty chewy for the style and while very sweet, still leaves a hoppy, bitter finish. Decent, but off the mark.
