Enjoyed at gabf 2014.
Enjoyed as ratebeer rating #7000!
Enjoyed as barleywine rating #528!
It pours with a nearly opaque copper body that supports a tan head. The aroma offers up sweet malts and molasses as well as sweet plum notes and only mild booziness and even more molasses into the end of the draw. The taste is smooth and luscious with molasses and smooth malts flowing into some caramel and more malts and molasses mixed together to midway. Into the finish there is a bit of boozy heat that breaks up the slick sweet carpet ride that is this beer but not before some sweet prunes and more molasses and malt sweetness keep this a smooth sweet sipper. Wow! Love this stuff.

On tap for Hard Liver '12, pours a cloudy orange amber with a small tan head. Aroma of dried fruits (apricots), hay and apple juice. Flavour is dry, with apple juice, wheat, bread, dried fruits and a slight sourness. Dry but sort of stale - not impressed.
