Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver, as Emerald Blonde
Cloudy blond color, cloudy, with compact head. The aroma has a mild nice spicy trait. Off-dry, highly carbonated; it has a very strong spicy character, probably some of it from the yeast, quite Belgian, and a robust bitterness too.
Not too complex, but a nice beer, very good interpretation of Belgian Ale, a lot of spicy character.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a cloudy blonde with a small white head. Aroma of crackery malt, Belgian yeast, and some perfumey floral notes. Flavour is very pleasant, with Belgian yeast, some floral notes, and some candied sugar making it a bit sweet. Very smooth and drinkable on the palate. Well-balanced. Very good.

Balance is ok here. The main problem is the weak hops variety. Some light floral but nothing to speak of. Pours clear blond without much lacing or head. Finishes clean with touch of sourness on long-term aftetaste
