A pumpkin beer brewed in the farmhouse tradition. This amber beer was made with over 50 pounds of locally grown pumpkins and buttercup squash. We spiced it gently with sage, cinnamon, and lemongrass and fermented it with a Belgian farmhouse strain. The result is a malty, layered, and slightly tart brew–completely different than your typical ‘spiced’ pumpkin beer!

On tap at Bailey's Taproom, pours a cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma of pumpkin, body odour, perfume and flowers. Flavour of pumpkin spices, oranges, perfume and flower pedals - very artificial and cosmetic-like. Fucked up - totally strange, but not entirely undrinkable.

Called a Biere de garde on the menu. But I was told this was the same boerhuis beer.. Some poempoen in the aroma. Orange brown colour with a thick white head. Fuller flavour than you might expect. Bigger body than I expected. Spicy finish.
