(Cask at Craft Beer Co Covent Garden, London, 27 Nov 2016) Black colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of chocolate, coffee and caramel. Malty, roasted taste with chocolate, coffee, caramel, a touch of treacle toffee and a balanced cacao bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty with a rich chocolate cake touch. Nice one.

Gravicask at Camra’s NWAF. Shared with Finn. Clear black body with a shade of brown. Spotty lacing. Cocoa powder on the nose. Oh boy like taste, cocoa and milk chocolate. Okay, too sweet for a higher score (Derby 17.02.2016).

Fra cask/gravity på NWAF i Derby 17 Feb 16. Delt med Rune. Heftig melkesjokoladearoma. Mokkafarget filmskum. Smaken bare melkesjokolade. Bra - men kjedelig.

Cask at Craft Beer Co, Islington on 25th November 2015. Deep red, almost black, with a pale tan head and spot lacing. Chocolate and nutty aroma, with the liquid pass carrying these same notes forward to be met by spicy herbiness. Velvety chocolate finish. A smooth mouthfeel and plenty of body.

Cask at the source. Dark maroon color, beige head. Huge chocolate aroma. Taste is Hershey’s syrup. It is what it is.

500ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours clear red-brown with a short-lived beige head. Aromas are massive chocolate liqueur, nuts. Taste is sweet chocolate, slightly synthetic tasting. One-dimensional, and thin on the finish.
