Cask (handpump) @ Vat and Fiddle, 12-14 Queens Bridge Road, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire England NG2 1NB. [ As Black Iris American Stout ].Clear light dark red brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roastd, chocolate, moderate hoppy, citrus. grapefruit. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, licorice, roasted. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. IMO more like a Black IPA. [20141012]

Tried at the Nottingham Beer Festival 14. Dark rich black colour with a tan head. Cocoa, coffee and caramel nice stout.
