Draught at the brewery, two dry hopping, Topaz vs. Ella
Cloudy dark amber color. The mouthfeel is quite dry, it has some malt and caramel flavor but it hardly provides a solid backbone, with a weakish final; there is too much yeast character, therefore it’s also a bit astringent and cheesy.
The hopping is very similar, the Topaz appears to be a bit more lemony and the Ella a bit more orangey and resiny.
Not bad, but a bit harsh and unrefined.

On tap at Bomber as "Aussie Amber Ale", pours an opaque murky dark orange with no head. Aroma is very hoppy, with dank earthy and citrusy hops and some herbal notes. Flavour is bizarre, with herbal and vegetal notes dominating. Man this is seriously messed up. What were they going for here? Nothing pleasant about this.
