[2/26/15] Draught at Ecliptic Brewing in Portland. Clear copper. Aroma of caramel and toffee-ish malt, some butter and mild citric hops. Sweetish flavor, malty, caramelly, mildly buttery, with a bit of toffee, some citric hops and a bitter finish. Medium-bodied.

Keg at the taproom, 08/11/14. Clear golden with a decent off white covering. Nose is pale malts, mandarin, straw, orange. Taste comprises light caramel malt, straw, bitter orange. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light hop bitterness in the close. Drinkable but low grade for style, lacks hoppage.

On tap at Ecliptic, pours a crystal clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out dry crackery malt, some metallic notes and a hop astringency - doesn't smell the best. Flavour is barely even anything, with a dry biscuity malt base, with a sharp hop astringency. Not very interesting at all. Inoffensive but boring as hell.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a dark copper color with a large white head. A smooth crisp fruity nose, some sweet malts. The flavor is mostly very clean and light oranges, some hefty darker amber malts. Very well put together. A sort of unique flavor that many of their beers exhibit. The trend is dead (higher ABV, hedonistic attack dogs).
