Draught at Darby’s Kitsilano, Vancouver
Hazy golden color, compact head. The hops are moderately fruity in the aroma and quite resiny in the mouth, the mouthfeel is lean and the malt is quite crackery, the Earl Grey adds some citrus peel and some tannins, somehow a dirty note, it therefore gets a bit earthy too.
I don’t see the point, the Earl Grey is not evident anyway, but it’s a good beer.

On cask at Yaletown, pours a cloudy opaque murky orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out muted earl grey notes upfront, with floral notes and a tiny touch of hoppiness in there. Flavour acceptably blends the tea and the floral hops, which achieves decent harmony. Nothing very interesting, but pleasant enough. Decent.
