YAM | CLOVE | DRY -- Our annual Fall shout out to our friends in Portlandia is our take on a pumpkin beer. This crisp and dry Autumn Saison features loads of sugar pumpkin in the mash which brings out a delicious yammy, sweet potato like character that is beautifully accented by the slight clove phenolic of this Saison yeast strain. It’s not your normal pumpkin beer, that’s for sure. You can almost hear Fred and Carrie say, “It’s Fall so why not put a pumpkin in it?”

On tap at 5 Rights, pours a clear orange with a small white head. Nose brings out moderate pumpkin spice and a little Belgian yeast. Flavour is more saison-y than pumpkin-y, with Belgian yeast upfront, and only a hint of pumpkin. Solid stuff.
