On tap at 13 Virtues, pours a hazy amber with a beige head. Aroma brings out lots of smoke - like a fire pit. Flavour is similar, like a fire pit, with smoked bready malt. Really nice rauchbier. Well-balanced and clean.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear red brown color with a small white head. A big smoky chocolate nose. The flavor is toffee, caramel, smoke, malty base. Banana. Good.

[2/23/15] Draught at Bailey’s Taproom in Portland. Brown-colored. Nice smoky aroma with malt and some caramel. Sweetish flavor, malty, caramelly, with some smoked sausages. Medium-bodied. A bit too sweet and one-dimensional but decent.
