Cloves, molasses and a whole pile of raw ginger found their way into the brew kettle. A light bodied, Cooper, coloured Ale full of sugar and spice notes that tastes just like your granny’s baking.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Dark amber color with red hue, hazy, compact head. Aroma of cookies, a bit soapy, soda; later, even raw chicken meat. Drier and weaker than I expected; the flavor is a bit fruity and spicy, like a light fruitcake; it has a moderate residual sweetness in the final, more cake too.
Nothing wrong in the brewing process, actually it’s even balanced, but it’s no longer a real beer, I have little interest in these.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out a melange of holiday spices, with ginger especially upfront, followed by nutmeg and maybe a touch of cinnamon. Flavour is about the same, with some cosmetic notes, some nail polish and a little ginger. Typical poor Red Collar quality - off-notes galore. Very poor.
