This organic porter is session-able and light bodied compared to its counter parts - balanced chocolate and espresso flavours followed by subtle earthy notes. At the end of the palate you will experience a tasteful dry and bitter finish, making this porter a great dark beer to pair with many spicy foods.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Very dark color, not yet black, with creamy head. Light aroma and light flavor, quite dry; a bit nutty and roasty.
Nothing flawed here, just an extremely boring and weak beer.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a deep dark brown / near-black with a medium tan creamy head. Aroma is very dry and almost cardboardy, with bready notes and oats. Flavour confirms this, with stale cardboard notes dominating this to the point of making this a horrific drain pour. Absolutely vile. Seriously, Dogwood.
