On cask at Yaletown, pours a near-black with a dark reddish tinge and a medium beige head. Aroma is very dry, with notes of oats and toasted oak. Flavour is bone dry, with toasted malt and dry cocoa. Not really getting the oak here. About as good as the base beer.

On tap at Irish Caskival at YBC. Pours a very dark brown, almost black with a tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, cocoa. Taste is roasted malt, dark chocolate, dark fruits. Burnt malt aftertaste. Good.
