Snow. It just seems so plain and so simple. Yet it’s what we yearn for here in Whistler. But it’s also complex. No two snowflakes are alike and this edition of our Unique Brew Series is complex too, and unlike no other.

Brewed with a generous blend of malted and unmalted Canadian Wheat which brings about the wintery whiteness. Add some punchy Cascade leaf in the mash and then some Centennial dry hopping to deliver coriander, orange and paradise seed notes.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma is fairly restrained for an IPA, with notes of citrus and bready malt. Flavour is quite astringent with citrus hopping, some weird tanginess from the Belgian yeast and bready malt. Something seems slightly off here, but not to the point of disaster. Not so enjoyable - needs some tweaking.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Cloudy blond color, creamy head. Strong aroma of coriander, spicy yeast, light citrusy hops. The flavor is dominated by the spicy yeast, I can’t remember in the recent past such a strong character from the Belgian yeast; strong bitterness too, with a touch of citrus fruits, and lemon peel.
Extreme in its concept.
