No, this isn’t your typical well cocktail. Rye grain was added to the malt bill and fresh ginger root was pitched into the kettle. The result is a golden ale with subtle hints of spice. Enjoy this beer while taking in Western Canada Theatre’s production "Ring of Fire" which runs from February 23 until March 4. Unfiltered, no preservatives, and naturally carbonated. Ingredients: Malted barley, malted rye, ginger, water, hops & yeast.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Hazy light amber color. The light ginger aroma smells like soap. The Ale has a light bread character, a very light ginger punch, light spicy touch, correct bitterness, a bit soapy.
Not bad, but… why?

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out fresh ginger and lightly spicy rye. Flavour is quite laid back, with ginger upfront and the earthy spicy rye further back. Clean and decently constructed, just nothing special.
