On tap at Old Market, pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma brings out roasted malt and a touch of piney hops. Flavour is along the same lines, with roasted malt and bitter piney hops. Not overly cohesive and a little jumbled. Decent.

Keg at the brewpub, 11/11/14. Light black with a decent tan covering. Nose is earthy roast, charr, light pine, red berry notes, mineral vibes. Taste comprises earthy hops, trace of pine needles, dark toffee, light spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Adequate CDA, bitter hop finish but a little sweet in places. Still one of the better, probably the best beer I tried here.
