From magnum bottle @ Borefts 2017, poured by the master himself. Honey color. Hints of brett, citrus and honey in the aroma. Sour flavor with oak, honey, lemon and grapefruit. Amazingly complex, worthy of the hype.

Magnumflaska från Tommie Sjef (trade). Vintage sent 2016, drygt två år gammal. Något mörkare guldfärgad med kritvit krona. Äpple, päron, lite cideraktiga toner, vita druvor, vita vinbär, fat, lätt bärighet och flädertoner. Lyxigt!

From a magnum bottle shared by Kristof at Bumb3r, thanks! Moussy, egg-white, open ring over hazy peachy golden beer. Aroma of ripe gooseberries, redcurrant, stewing rhubarb without sugar, lemon rind, dry cider, raspberry vinegar, hay – in all, quite lambic-like. Crisp sour onset, a tad lemony, redcurrant acidity but still retaining a soft, ‘hidden’ plum- and grape-like sweetishness in its sourness, however subtle; fizzy carbonation, drying lactic sourness, supple bready malt body underneath leading to a hayish, dry, crisp, fruity-sour finish with very dry cider-like and Bretty effects (wet hay, wet leather, ‘horseblanket’). Among the more lambic- or geuze-like Tommie Sjefs I had to date, delicious, amazing what this young guy pulls off in sour ale territory.
