On tap at 12 Kings, pours a deep dark copper with a small white head. Aroma brings out caramel and toasted bready malt - very bready. Flavour is very rich and heavy, with thick caramel upfront, followed by toasted bready malt. Medium-heavy sweet with not a whole lot of depth, but it's balanced well. Decent.

Draught at 12 Kings, Vancouver
Hazy dark amber color. Light aroma, a bit earthy. Good body strength, but the flavor is not great: shallow caramel, a bit nutty, with fruity esters from the yeast, a bit cloying; the final is off-dry, a bit astringent, and the alcohol shows too much.
Simple beer.
