On tap at Old Abbey, pours a cloudy deep dark red with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out notes of resinous hops, caramel malts and dry bready malt. Flavour is quite bitter and vegetal, with a weird tartness, a very herbal vegetal quality and an astringent bitterness. All sorts of off-flavours and undesirable astringencies. No good.

Cloudy light orange color. Some aroma of grapefruit zest. Dry mouthfeel, moderate acidity, a lot of grapefruit juice. It’s like drinking grapefruit juice, without the sweetness, and with some bitterness; and a hint of chili peppers. Not too bad, not particularly interesting either, but I understand the value of experimenting.
