Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Black color. Some aroma of glue. Very dry mouthfeel, roasted malt flavor, and unpleasant sourness; woody astringency in the final.
Very messy.

On tap at St. Augustine during 1500 menu event with Alex. Pours a very dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is maple syrup, oven roasted fruuts, some chocolate. Taste is similar. Not bad.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out lots of red wine barrels, followed by perfume, pint thinner and alcohol. Flavour is dominated by the red wine, with plenty of oak, vinous notes, moderate alcohol and absolutely no presence of the maple underneath. Rather harsh, but not as offensive as the BA Irish Red. Okay.
