Cask at the brewery
Dark color, near black, with creamy beige head. Mild aroma of roasted malts, yeast, olives. Soft mouthfeel, nice malt flavor, dark, but with no roast and no ashes, sweet, juicy, succulent, fresh, fruity. Correct bitterness, it doesn’t feel the 70 IBUs.
Excellent.
Now please brew the imperial version of this.

On cask at Main Street, pours a deep dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma brings out toasted bready malt and dry cocoa. Flavour is quite robust, with dry cocoa, roasted malt and some alcohol. Robust and well-structured. Very good.
