Malty without being too heavy, this beer is amber in colour and hopped with Centennial for a slight citrus kick. A great seasionable winter ale for after a day of fun in the snow.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Mahogany color, clean, with compact head. A classic Winter Ale, betting too much on the color and not enough on the warmth and body; dominated by dark caramel, weak, lean, with some ashy dark malts and burnt caramel appearing in the final.
Ok beer, boring though.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a deep dark mahogany / brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out dry crusty bread upfront, with a little toasted caramel. Flavour is very dry and quite bitter, with tons of crusty dry bread dominating. Astringent in some weird non-hoppy way. Usual calibre from Red Collar.
