Birthday Brew #7 is a hoppy Belgian Golden Strong Ale. Appearance is hazy, golden with a frothy head from natural carbonation. The nose is full of fruity esters from a Duvel yeast strain. Brewed and dry hopped with large amounts of Hallertau Blanc, Hüll Melon, French Aramis, and Nelson Sauvin. The combination of these French, German, and New Zealand hops create aromas and flavors of vinous cantaloupe, honeydew melon, kiwi, and bubblegum. Full bodied yet finishes pleasantly dry.

On tap at VCBW Festival 2017, pours a cloudy blonde with a medium white head. Aroma is fairly subdued, with candied sugar and Belgian yeast. Flavour is similar, with cotton candy, lots of Belgian yeast and doughy notes. Not too sweet, low in esters, with a medium carbonation. Above average for an American attempt at a Belgian Strong. Nice.
