500ml bottle from New Seasons Market. Light, clear amber pour, thin layer of fine foam. Initial hit of caramel in the aroma, backed by a light hoppiness. Sweet caramel malts lead the taste, tobacco and then some bittering hops. Reminds me of the English style IPAs

Bottle pour, picked up at Belmont Station. A reddish orange pour, mostly clean and clear. Very nutty malt, as advertised. I'd call this more malty than it is choppy, pine specifically, as it's named after. Pine is there for sure, though. Thick body. Nutty, bitter, caramel, metallic. Very different than my usual IPA. Pretty good as an overall.

On tap at Ancestry in Tualatin, pours a cloudy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out piney hops (duh), with some seltzery notes and biscuity malt. Flavour is nicely structured, with lots of piney hops upfront, with some lightly sweet resinous hop oils and biscuity malt. A little too sweet from the hop oils, but it works. Nice stuff.

On tap at the brewery. Is this a homage to Pliny? Pours a clear copper orange color with a medium white head. A big tropical resin hop nose. The flavor is toasted malts, bigger tropical resin fruit. Very good.
