(Extra Special Bitter): A hopped and majestically malted flavor with a dextrinous body with an slightly off-white head that presents a sudden but brief crisp bittering and finishing malty. This brew has a clean and drying finish with a pleasant mouthfeel. The pleasant slightly caramelized malt character provides the well-rounding and balancing characteristic of this brew.

Poured up on tap at the brewery where it exhibits a clear copper body that has thick gold hued edges and supports a light tan head that leaves behind some spotty lacing. The aroma offers up some mildly roasted malts, a dash of spice and a bit of toasted bread. The taste delivers thin sweet malts, a dash of roasted malts, a tangy roasted toffee sensation and then a dash of highly roasted malts. To midway it develops a thin breadiness that manages to just be heard over the maltiness going on. Solid.

On tap at Lochiel, pours a hazy copper with a small white head. Aroma brings out caramel, bready malt and a touch of English hops. Flavour is along the same lines, with light caramel, English bready malt and a touch toffee. Quite bready and malty, with a light hoppy character. Decent.
